PROJECT MANAGER

As the liaison between the client and the production team, the Project Manager must have excellent communication skills and the ability to complete projects under pressing deadlines while maintaining high quality standards. As the project’s team leader, the Project Manager must also be able to organize, direct and motivate linguists, production team members, localization engineers, and other process contributors. As the liaison, the Project Manager will be responsible for explaining and discussing the production process and its requirements with the clients; therefore, this position demands a thorough knowledge of translation and localization, and the process involved in completing a linguistic project.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establishing schedules and milestones for the projects.


  • Assist in the preparation of budgets.


  • Analyzing proposal requests from clients, initiating the quotation cycle, preparing and drafting the proposal in accordance with the company policy and follow-up with the client on such proposal.


  • Managing and releasing multi-lingual products from initial quotation to completion.

  • Defining vendor work specifications.


  • Delivering relevant information in a timely manner to internal and external contacts.


  • Maintain and develop long-term relationships with Client, providing them with solutions for upcoming projects, identify potential for new projects and initiate the necessary steps to obtain the projects.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • University Degree in Translation or Localization.


  • Proven project management and leadership skills.


  • Comfortable with localization processes and tools, preferably with HTMLHelp and Web markup languages (HTML, XML).


  • Experience with MS Project and project schedule creation/maintenance.


  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.


  • Comfortable working in a team environment.


  • At least three (3) years experience localizing software products into one or more languages.
